Reverse Address Resolution Protocol - Reverse Address Resolution Protocol (RARP) is a protocol used to resolve an IP address from a given hardware address (such as an Ethernet address). The primary limitations are that each MAC must be manually configured on a central server, and it is limited to only the IP address, leaving subnetting, gateways, and other information to be configured by hand.

Address Resolution Protocol - In computer networking using the Internet Protocol suite, the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) is the method for finding a host's MAC address when only its IP address is known. Logical address - A logical address or virtual address is a memory location accessed by an application program in a system with virtual memory such that intervening computer hardware and/or software maps the virtual address to real (physical) memory. During the course of execution of an application, the same virtual address may be mapped to many different physical addresses as data and programs are paged out and paged in to other locations.
