Radeon R520 - ATI's "R520" core is the foundation for a line of DirectX 9c 3D accelerator video cards. It is ATI's first major architectural overhaul since the "R300" core and is highly optimized for Shader Model 3.
Radeon - Radeon is a brand of graphics processing units (GPU) that has been manufactured by ATI Technologies since 2000. There are four different groups, which can be differentiated by the DirectX generation they support.
FireGL - The FireGL range of graphics cards is a series fabricated by ATI for use with CAD (Computer Added Design) and DCC (Digital Content Creation) programs, usually found in workstations. They are very similar in hardware to the Radeon range, but have slight differences, which the FireGL drivers check in order to allow them to be used.
Fglrx - fglrx is the name of the Linux display driver used for ATI Radeon and FireGL family video adapters. It contains open source and closed source parts.
