Economy Act - This act, which Congress voted in favour of on the 15th March, 1933, tried to balance the federal budget by cutting the salaries of government employees and reducing pensions to veterans by as much as 15 percent. It also cut the budgets of government departments by 25 percent.
Currency Act - The Currency Act of 1764 prohibited the American colonies from issuing paper currency of any form. This offset the economy of the colonies and was widely opposed.
