West Island Line and South Island Line - The West Island Line and South Island Line are two new proposed lines of the Hong Kong MTR metro system. Construction to the southern end of Hong Kong Island, which is at present not serviced by any rail transport, has been approved by the Executive Council of Hong Kong.

It is the northernmost station on the Red Line (and the outlying terminus of the North Side Main Line), and also has connections with the Yellow Line and the Purple Line; incidientially, the Yellow Line has one of its two termini here, while the Purple Line does not go south of this station outside of weekday rush hours.
