Reflection (computer science) - In computer science, reflection (or computational reflection) is the ability of a program to observe and possibly modify its high level structure. Typically, reflection refers to runtime or dynamic reflection, though some programming languages support compile time or static reflection.
Reflection seismology - Reflection seismology is a branch of seismology that uses reflected seismic waves to produce images of the Earth's subsurface. By noting the time it takes for a reflection to arrive at a receiver, it is possible to estimate the depth of the feature that generated the reflection.
Specular reflection - Specular reflection is the perfect, mirror-like reflection of light from a surface, in which light from a single incoming direction is reflected onto a single outgoing direction. Such behaviour is described by the law of reflection, which states that the direction of outgoing reflected light and the direction of incoming light make the same angle with respect to the surface normal; this is commonly stated as \theta _i = \theta _r.
Diffuse reflection - Diffuse reflection is the reflection of light from an uneven or granular surface such that an incident ray is seemingly reflected at a number of angles. It is the complement to specular reflection.
