Programme for International Student Assessment - The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) is a three-yearly world-wide test of 15-year-old schoolchildren's scholastic performance, developed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in 1997.
Test (student assessment) - In education, certification, counselling, and many other fields, a test or exam (short for examination) is a tool or technique intended to measure students' expression of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. A test has more questions of greater difficulty and requires more time for completion than a quiz.
HSPA - The High School Proficiency Assessment (abbreviated HSPA and pronounced "hes-pah" or sometimes just "H-S-P-A") is a standardized test administered by the New Jersey Department of Education to all New Jersey high school students in March of their 11th grade year. Together with the NJASK (New Jersey Assessment of Skills and Knowledge) administered in fourth grade and the GEPA (Grade Eight Proficiency Assessment) given to students in eighth grade, the HSPA is part of a battery of tests used to assess student performance in New Jersey's public schools.
